 The Blue Ridge Regional Hospital
began as the Spruce Pine
Community Hospital in 1955. What
began as a small, rural hospital
has grown into a full fledged
community medical complex
including a 46 bed facility, 12
emergency beds for ER treatment,
specialized units for adult and
pediatric care, a Coronary Care
area, and a fully equipped
radiology and chemotherapy
department. Since becoming a
part of the renowned medical
system that is Mission Health
which governs Mission Hospitals,
the hospital has many plans for
expansion. When you live in

knowing your health is in
excellent hands.
Burnsville North Carolina and
the regions in
Yancey County NC
have a number of healthcare
options. The closest hospital to
Burnsville NC is the Unicoi
County Memorial Hospital, located
17 miles away in Erwin TN. Since
1966, this hospital has operated
providing only the best in
healthcare to its patients. With
46 beds, an emergency department,
an intensive care unit, numerous
